Graduate Automation Engineer with experience in the industrial automation sector, specialising in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA design. A collaborative and adaptable professional who works effectively with people from various backgrounds, I enjoy tackling new challenges both in my work and personal life. Outside of work, I am an active member of the Canterbury Ultimate Frisbee community, serving as both a player and general executive member. Graduate Automation Engineer

Design and development of PLC and SCADA based control solutions across a range of industries including food and bev, refrigeration, and process automation. Development of knowledge in electrical installations of hazardous areas in accordance with AS/NZS 60079.


  • Using common networking protocols (eg. Profinet or Modbus TCP) to communicate across systems.
  • Assisting in Hazardous area Inspections and designs of new and updated electrical installs requiring compliance with AS/NZS 60079 standards
  • Developing and maintaining key documentation (Function descriptions, IO and cable schedules, records of inspections, etc.)
  • Commissioning projects on site with multi-disciplinary teams (IO testing, function testing, troubleshooting issues on site and providing post-project support for issues)
  • Developing PLC code that is readable, maintainable, and easily debugged
  • Communicating with senior engineers, and other key stakeholders on key issues and progress
