Personal Statement:

I am an extremely motivated and driven individual. I am proud to say most of my working life has been in Education, this has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and experience that I now plan to use to transfer to a new career. I have worked in a range of schools in a variety of roles. I have been a classroom teacher, Head of Department, Deputy/Associate Principal and Principal.

My experience in Education gave me a range of transferable skills including, advanced literacy skills, management experience, strong communication skills and the ability to relate well to all ages, cultures and backgrounds. I know how important a united community is and always work hard to make sure I play my part in this. Most recently I have been the Wellington Region Manager for Kelly Group, overseeing company owned before school care, after school care and holiday programmes sites. This role involved managing staff at 6 different sites and working closely with school management. My organisational skills have been honed over the years meaning I am able to manage my time well and prioritise the tasks I need to complete. A career in education management has strengthened my customer service skills.

I have a wide range of experience working with parents and the wider community as customers. Developing close partnerships with all stakeholders was a key to my success in the customer service area. I have been fortunate to have a prosperous career in Education setting me up for the future. I am now ready to tackle other opportunities in the wider workforce.
