Throughout my career I have managed people, projects and programmes of work. I believe a great team needs a leader that leads by example, is always available for the team and stakeholders, showing resilience and being a support person that gets involved in finding a way forward, getting to know end to end processes and products as well as showing up as the SME for the team. Most importantly, I strongly support getting to know your people and appreciate the work they do, help them on their career path and support them. I have been working for Health NZ formally known as Healthalliance as a Senior Project Manager & PMO Lead for Digital workspace working on Windows 10 desktop upgrade & Exchange Online rollout throughout NZ. I was also conducting interviews for project management roles. I was recently seconded into an Acting Programme manager role for ICT facilities managing 44 IT facilities projects in the Northern Region including Refurbishment data points and server room fit outs. Prior to working in the health sector, I had been working in the Telecommunications industry for 19 years starting off at Telecom, moving into Chorus, and then into Ventia as a programme manager building the Chorus Fibre Network across New Zealand, including Fibre Cabinets, fibre to the schools for MBIE, Multi Dwelling units, right of ways as well as single dwelling units until the contract we had with Chorus completed. I work alongside Project managers, Portfolio Programme Managers, Finance Business partners and Senior Leadership, Stakeholders from all hospital districts, and attend steering and working group meetings with executive members within Health NZ.
