Adam Rhodes

I am currently a student at John McGlashan College, I have completed NCEA L1 and L2 and will be studying towards NCEA L3. I am also a Venture Sea Scout at Andersons Bay Sea Scout group. Throughout my time at school and Scouts, I've been actively involved in academic, social, and sporting events.

I'm currently captain of the School Fencing Team, and was a member of the Schools Novice Rowing Team that competed at the South Island Schools Regattas and Maadi, gaining medals. During 2021 I won the Trophy for the most dedicated and team-focused Novice, (The Leydon Family Cup) as well as the Parents and Friends Association award for Citizenship and Community.

I find my time at Scouts rewarding in many ways and I'm now one of the senior members of the group, tasked with mentoring the younger Scouts. I've attended many Scout camps and regattas where I've taken an active role in the organization and set up, as well as several leadership courses through Scouts Aotearoa.

Currently, I am pursuing my Private Pilots License alongside my academic studies. I also have my restricted car license and hope to gain my full license later this year.

I enjoy contributing to group activities and being part of a team but I am equally happy when working alone to meet my goals.

I am organized and dependable, successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I am a hardworking and passionate individual who is flexible and adaptable in my studies to cover any task that may be required.
