Perform thorough nursing assessments for a variety of complex medical conditions and initiates timely appropriate nursing interventions whilst managing deteriorations.

Competent in intravenous line insertions and obtaining blood work pertaining to patient's presenting complaint.

Provides health education about diagnosis and treatment to support informed consent and patient autonomy

Participates in preceptorship for new nurses and new graduates to the Emergency Department including ADHB policies, Auckland ED policies/guidelines, safety and operational procedures.

Coordinate bed flow management with higher acuity patients requiring cardiac telemetry with more complex diagnoses such as sepsis, non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction and toxicology/overdoses.

Works in accordance to the nursing council code of conduct.

Vast knowledge and experiences in trauma/resuscitation and emergency interventions.
