  • Duties: Running a team of 15 staff in the manufacture of heavy transport trailers, predominantly insulated. From 6 to 15.1 metres.
  • Manufacturing insulated walls, foaming and inserting structural, laminated "I" beams and glassing in to place with different grades of cloth epoxy and polyester, Building chassis from the ground up on the jig.
  • Reading engineering design drawings, liasoning with design engineers, Fitting exterior structural, extruded alloy top and bottom rails. Make and fit laminated roofs and fit into place.
  • Fabricate structural steel chassis, apron plates and skid plates, and fitment of king pins, reading drawings plumbing up trailers fitting of axels and all other aspects of the heavy tranport engineering custom make rear custom made structural bumpers to customer specification and fit. Smoothway interlock structural longrun flooring, cut to length, fit, tap tight into place and fully weld all floor. To set up and torque up of eye bolts for the suspension hangers for the purpose of wheel aligning. Making customized modifications as customers request them. Using 3 tonne, 5 tonne, and 7 tonne forklifts with extension forks and a 5 tonne and 10 tonne over head gantry crane with double blocks. Other tasks included resining, gel coating, flow coating, gelcoat bog, riveting steel, stainless and peelback rivets, hucking, hucktainers, magna-bulbs and magna locks alloy steel high tensile welding with flux core wire and an array of other structural rivets
