Achievements
Experience
I participated in a variety of extra-curricular activities in addition to my employment and my education at Southland Girls High School. I enjoy dancing, and have done so since I was around 3 years old, participating after school in Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Tap.Since I was six years old, I have danced competitively, and I have won numerous award nominations. In 2018, my dance troupe and I attended the National Performing Arts in Palmerston North, and in 2019, my solo and my duo gained national nominations at the regional Dance NZMade competition in the North Island. With three other teammates, I won the Aerobics Nationals in Wellington when I was in primary school. In my spare time, I also teach dance and help students prepare for examinations and competitions. I also take part in gym classes and enjoy going on walks with my family and dog in my own time, which shows my passion for health and fitness. In addition, I have a deep interest for the performing arts and have been involved in it both inside and outside of the classroom since I was around 8 years old. I've taken part in many productions in Southland, held a number of lead dancing roles, and been a part of a number of ensembles. I participated in numerous dance committees in High School, such as Showquest and Dance NZMade, and I was a lead dancer in numerous school productions throughout secondary school. I am in my second year of studying for a Bachelor of Nursing degree at Otago Polytechnic, intending to graduate in 2025 or 2026. My studies allow me to apply the skills I gained from my retail and hospitality experience. I have developed the ability to interact with a diverse range of people, provide care, build therapeutic relationships, and promote health and well-being. My skills in retail and hospitality, such as effectively interacting with people and assisting them with their needs, directly apply to nursing. I am known for being friendly, approachable, and dedicated to maintaining a solid work ethic that ensures efficient and helpful customer service.
