  • Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) has been a part of life in New Zealand since the end of March 2020. MIQ was established as a buffer to prevent COVID - 19 from overseas from spreading in the country. As a means to minimize the risk of viral spread, all people entering New Zealand went through a period of isolation or quarantine before entering the wider NZ community. Working in Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ), has been a unique experience that has been challenging across all domains and has necessitated the utmost empathy, integrity, adaptability, and resilience.
