Ceylon Electricity Board Grid Substation at Habarana for DIMO Pvt. Ltd.

The project mainly focused on the design and construction supervision of civil construction at the Habarana grid substation for the Ceylon Electricity Board.

• Lead the structural design for the project including the control building, engineer's quarters, main transformer foundation with firewalls, burnt oil tank, outdoor equipment foundations, concrete & rubble retaining walls, cable trenches, and stormwater drainage.
• Preparation of structural design report for approval.
• Assisting the project manager with the project by monitoring the construction progress, Preparation of technical specifications, reviewing the contractor's method statements, client and architect coordination, and Providing structural expertise to meet project needs.
• Represented structural engineer at the progress review meetings and provide clarifications when required.

• Lead the initial structural investigation and analysis of the existing building and check the structural capability to add another steel mezzanine floor.
• Preparation of structural investigation report and presenting for the client's understanding.
• Lead the structural design for added steel mezzanine floor, service building, and detailing the strengthening required for the existing building.
