I am an energetic and hard-working person. I have great confidence with a can-do attitude, but also knowing my flaws and am able to reflect and take feedback happily. I work well in a team, and on my own and am able to manage my time brilliantly. I enjoy discovering the strengths and weaknesses of all team members and drawing out the best in everyone, accepting and working with their shortfalls, to create harmony and efficiency within a working environment. Organisational skills are a dominant asses of mine. I enjoy leading and delegating, and easily follow instruction also.
I am confident in incorporating Bi-Culturalism into the teaching program and environment, as well as multi cultural links to reflect an inclusive classroom and make our families feel welcome, valued and seen.
Adhering to our founding document Te Tiriti o Waitangi is important to me, i believe in rejuvenating a sense of belonging for Maori, primarily through utilising the language so it becomes more widespread and accepted. I have a certificate in Te Reo Maori, I acquire language easily as my schooling had us learning, French, Latin and Maori.
I also have a certificate in typing, it was my favourite subject at school.
I am confident in delivering a robust curriculum with the best learning outcomes for our children, guided by our ECE curriculum Te Whaariki.
