With a proven track record at Screens R US, I excel in training recruits and ensuring product installation excellence, demonstrating both my analytical problem-solving and effective team contribution skills. My experience spans from hands-on construction apprenticeships to managing fast-paced shifts, highlighting my adeptness in time management and service excellence.
As a senior installer, I am in charge of training up new recruits and making sure they follow the proper procedures in installing all our products and troubleshooting any issues that may arise, I am also the first point of contact for all new installer-recruits if there are any problems they may come across. As an installer, I meet the customer(s), get them to show me the site of installation and reiterate health and safety protocols that were sent out to them prior to my arrival. I then proceed to install all products and document all installations. Upon completion, I demonstrate to the customer(s) how to use each product and maintain it and ask if they have any queries that I may be able to help them with or create more interests in additional products that we may offer.
I was employed by Aspec Construction Limited as an apprentice through BCITO. During my apprenticeship, I had to learn to document everything that I had learnt in accordance with BCITO's modules, which involves but not limited to, the basics of how to use hand tools and power tools in the correct way for the correct purpose and following the safety procedure of each tool. I had to learn to understand how to read plans and follow plans for the construction of each project, I had to learn how to understand building codes and compliances and document each finding. During my time with Aspec Construction Limited, I was mainly involved with the start of projects as in taking the foundational plans and measuring out for boundaries and setting up working profiles to commence the marking out of each project. I also constructed a lot of boxes/formwork for concrete footing and slabs, getting the area ready for pour day (concrete finishers were contracted out to other contractors) and helping out with the deconstruction of the formwork, Marking out for walls or tilt slabs and then moving on to the next site.
As a shift manager, I was in charge of making proper arrangements for the shift ahead which includes but not limited to, checking inventory, writing up a plan for people and their tasks as well as rotation of staff and ensuring cash is correct for hand over, during the shift I am in charge of making sure policy and procedures are being followed for the safety of my staff and customers. I pay attention to the flow of the shift and make sure I am available to make adjustments to staff when needed, also jumping at any customer queries and/or complaints to ensure it gets resolve without a hitch. Before the end of the shift I make sure my staff hands over a clean restaurant to the next manager in charge, ensuring cash is adequate and balanced for deposit. At the end of the shift, I like to go over my plan for the shift and tick off what worked and make a list of things that could be worked on for my next shift.
