  • Through use of research and collaboration with others, created implementation plan to support teachers to develop key competencies of students. Students were able to self assess development. Distinct correlation between those who showed more improvement and understanding through self assessment and those who had greater academic achievement.
  • Allocated special education staff and addressed requests for additional allocations throughout school year. Diverse learners became integrated into regular classroom programme, often eventually independently.

  • Developed Health and PE PLD programme utilising outside providers to improve quality of teaching during PE lessons. Through better teaching of individual skills, rather than whole game, students were better able to become proficient in physical activities. Postgate School won Parumoana Interschool athletics in 2016 and 2017.
