Summary

With a robust foundation in health and safety management, as well as environmental sustainability, I am dedicated to ensuring safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible practices across all facets of demolition, construction, and industrial operations. My approach is grounded in years of experience managing complex projects, fostering a culture of safety, and driving sustainability through innovative solutions.

As a professional committed to delivering high-quality work while minimizing risks, I specialize in developing and executing safety management systems, risk assessments, and environmental protection strategies. My role as a leader has involved creating and implementing tailored health and safety protocols that are not only compliant with legislation but also align with the core values of the organisations I support. My background in environmental management allows me to integrate sustainable practices into every project, from demolition to site remediation.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with cross-functional teams to promote health, safety, and environmental stewardship. This includes training teams, developing comprehensive safety protocols, and leading compliance efforts for complex and high-risk projects. I’ve led initiatives to monitor environmental hazards, improve waste management practices, and enhance resource efficiency while reducing the environmental footprint of projects. My ability to balance the safety of workers, clients, and the wider community while preserving and improving the environment is a hallmark of my work.

In 2023, an initiative to maximize waste diversion earned runner-up for the Environmental Best Practice of the Year at the NZDAA Awards, and in 2024, my simplification of the Site-Specific Safety Plans and integration of digital tools won the Health & Safety Best Practice of the Year Award. Through strategic leadership and collaboration, I’ve been able to create systems that prevent workplace incidents, reduce environmental damage, and ultimately drive the success of the businesses I work with.

I’m a strong advocate for continuous learning and innovation in the fields of health and safety and environmental management. As I continue to grow in my career, my focus remains on bringing forward-thinking solutions to complex challenges, ensuring the safety of individuals, and the long-term health of our environment.
