Summary

I am an Associate Professor at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), Iran, with a Ph.D in Geoinformatics. My expertise includes GIS, environmental remote sensing, Aeolian/Dust studies, and combating desertification. I use tools like Google Earth Engine, R, ARCGIS, ERDAS, ENVI, and UAV image processing. With over a decade at FUM, I have excelled in aerosol/dust research and wind erosion studies, earning recognition as the TOP RESEARCHER at FUM in 2019 and at the Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands of Iran in 2005. Skilled in programming (R, GEE, Python, SPSS, Power BI, ArcGIS) and modeling, I have presented at and chaired international conferences. I developed and taught Advanced GIS and Remote Sensing courses, collaborating with Lund University, ITC, and Lisbon University. I supervised 10 Ph.D. and 36 MSc students, led International Cooperation and Development and Community Relations since 2019, and Education for Open Higher Education Programs since 2015.
