Hi there,
My name is Allan Smith, I'm 42 years old and am single, I have a 20 year old daughter who had a baby boy in January 2025, I love both my daughter and grandson very much, they're my world.
Our passion was Motorcross, growing up as a kid I competed in Motorcross events from the age of 8 years to age 15 years, I won many titles including become a 2x New Zealand Junior National Champion between the years 1993 and 1995. Motorcross is still my passion, my daughter also won her New Zealand Junior Womens National Champion title in 2018, since then i have been taking her to the odd event but we mostly just trail ride and have fun,
For the last two years I've been self employed as a motorcycle mechanic mostly repairing and servicing farm bikes and quads on site around the Canterbury area, building up a nice business and a positive reputable name, sadly I've had to sell the business as I was struggling financially and couldn't maintain my outgoings. I had a passion to become a motorcycle mechanic, can now say I have done it but truthfully can also say I failed at running a business.
Before then I had been working for Move logistics for the last 7 to 8 years, over that time I succeeded in multiple roles and gained exceptional experience and knowledge in the whole 3PL business at site 9 Produce Place, I was one of the inwards goods container devanner, and filled in as the supervisor when my supervisor was away or on leave, Move had the Lion Breweries contract. In mid 2022 we had received notification that Move had lost the contract so was advised to look for other employment, so in February 2023 I left Move on a good note and headed off on a totally different and new adventure to become a motorcycle mechanic.
I'm sending you my CV to please give me a chance so I can show you the best I can be and become a valuable asset to you and the company that I'll be representing. I've always looked forward to putting on my uniform in the mornings and wearing the company's name proudly across my chest.
Thank you very much for this opportunity.
Yours sincerely
Allan Smith.
