One of two full time Deck/Stews onboard Charter/Private M/Y Pacific Mermaid. Being a deck/stew, I was responsible for all aspects of the interior and exterior, including laundry, service, housekeeping, wash downs, teak maintenance, watch keeping, stainless maintenance, line handling, and occasionally cooking for the crew.
Hallertau is a very busy hospitality environment; as a waitress, I am capable of managing groups of up to 100 people at once. In working at Hallertau I have developed an extensive knowledge of craft beers and a great knowledge of our local wines. I have skills in customer service, bartending, supervising new staff, as well as training. One of my main duties is to oversee junior staff and ensure they are working to their best potential and using correct table service. I am also fully barista trained.
