My interest with design began when I left school and started my own clothes label "Andrea J Designs", this was casual wear namely sweatshirts, a highlight been an article in the Fashion Quarterly magazine by Paula Ryan.
A passion for clothes then morphed into interior and exterior design with one of my favourite past times being re designing friends houses utilising existing furniture.
I also have a love for animals and their welfare. This is evident from my time volunteering at the SPCA in Blenheim and time spent in Borneo helping at an Orangutan sanctuary.
From 1991 to 1993 I travelled extensively doing various jobs along the way from chauffeuring in London to electronic soldering throughout Scotland and England. Travel has taught me so much about myself and others. It provides you with opportunities to do things that you typically wouldn't do, whilst giving you a much better understanding of other cultures and the challenges they face. It is one of life's greatest adventures.
