Andrew Birrell

Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a total of five years of experience conducting community level diagnostic testing in Auckland's busiest laboratory. I am a motivated and diligent worker, with a keen eye for detail and an enthusiastic approach to my responsibilities. I am trained in the identification and susceptibility testing of skin, urogenital, respiratory, and enteric pathogens using a variety of traditional and molecular based techniques. I am also trained in microscopy to conduct urinalysis, enteric parasites, gram stain interpretation and seminal fluid fertility testing. I am capable of working solo or as a team, and am a versatile and adaptable worker.
