- Work alongside dean to establish positive culture and identity within waka (house)
- Use academic, attendance and pastoral data to support students in waka
- Work with Dean and Senior leaders to identify and support classes where required
- Support positive classroom culture within new year 9 classes
- Work as an impact coach to observe and support teachers ensuring best practice is developed across the school
- Lead professional learning groups within the school to support teachers in professional inquiries
- Planning an implementing courses from year 9 to 13 including NCEA level 1-3 and Scholarship Music
- Support students through goal setting, tracking progress, and providing formative and summative feedback
- Utilise current technologies to support hybrid and online learning, such as Microsoft Teams and OneNote
- Utilise music technologies to enhance engagement and support creativity
Curriculum responsibilities (2023 onwards:
- Develop courses and resources to meet the requirements of the NCEA level 1 changes
- Support curriculum development through junior and senior classes including developing subject outcomes for each year group
- Receive and moderate assessments from schools around New Zealand to ensure consistency against national standards
- Write moderation reports to support assessors to make consistent judgements
- Marking NCEA Level 1 Score-Reading paper
- Collaborating with marking panel to ensure consistency
- Using administration platforms to ensure careful collation and returning of results
- Planning and implementing individual and group lessons for piano, guitar, band studies and music theory.
