ANDREW NORMAN

PAPAMOA

Summary

My philosophy of teaching is constantly evolving and developing as I become more experienced and use my strong interpersonal skills to adapt and make decisions best suited for students' learning. I aim to create a safe and positive learning environment which emphasizes student wellbeing through implementing my 3 key E's of pedagogy; engaging, entertaining and educational. Having a student centred focus is a critical aspect of my practice as I adopt a mixture of traditional ideas, values and attitudes alongside innovative or future focused strategies and concepts to prepare students as valuable members of society. I endeavour to teach students the skills to be lifelong learners who think critically and seek excellence across all aspects of school through creating meaningful relationships between students, whether that be in the classroom, sporting endeavours, the community and other areas. I look forward to utilizing my skills in a secondary school environment.

Experienced high school teacher adept at managing large classrooms and fostering positive student relationships. Skilled in monitoring academic progress, assessing and grading exams, and maintaining comprehensive student records. Committed to creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
