Head of Service Investment and Programming
5 Years 2 Months- Established the Local Board Portfolio Review programme. The programme will provide local boards with a pipeline of advice to strengthen community outcomes whilst reducing reliance on asset based service delivery.
- Overseeing the development of standardised designs for community hub and aquatic leisure facilities in alignment with Better Value Project objectives. These designs will inform future investment requirements and provide a benchmark for future service provision.
- Accountable for the Local Parks Management Plan programme. Each plan creates a framework of management intentions for local boards to manage their park network, detailing all local parks and the classification under which they are held.
- Oversaw the creation of the Portfolio Assessment Tool. This tool was designed as a dashboard interface that presents relevant datasets to show asset and service performance in a simple, easily understood format.

1 Year 8 Months- Supported the Customer and Community Services lead team to identify revenue generating initiatives and operational efficiencies.

5 Years 9 Months- Accountable for all retail outlets within the zoo, sourcing relevant stock, tourism product development, private functions and venue hire operations.
- Led the procurement and management of all commercial partnerships within the zoo. This included the retail catering, souvenir photography, preferred suppliers and brand presence agreements.
- Implemented partnership with Again Again within catering operations, resulting in diversion of 160,000 single use coffee cups per annum from landfill. Additionally creating a fundraising mechanism to redirect the deposit towards the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund, and a reduction in overall packaging cost.
- Led phase out of single-use water bottles at Auckland
Zoo, diverting waste from the zoo site of approximately
50,000 units. The second phase removed all single
use plastic from the beverage range. - Re-introduced zoo music series partnering with a promoter to deliver a two year programme of concerts with well known New Zealand music acts.
