Experienced and fully qualified Registered Nurse with over 25 years serving in Primary Health, Residential Care, and Māori health organizations. I am known for delivering culturally responsive, client-centered care that respects the values and needs of whānau and integrates community-based support networks.


Throughout my career, I have developed and nurtured excellent relationships with a diverse range of health providers, external stakeholders, and community organizations.

These collaborations have allowed me to bring impactful events and initiatives to local communities, driving better health outcomes and increased access to essential services. I believe I excel in high-pressure environments.


I am a strategic and equity-focused leader with extensive experience managing clinical and non-clinical teams that deliver a range of complex and culturally diverse services from birth to end of life. I strive to uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of planning and service delivery, while fostering culturally safe, high-performing teams.

Clinical Team Lead

  • Overseeing the development, delivery, and implementation of multiple clinical services under TWMT including services which have current health targets, such as cancer and immunisation services.
  • Manage a team of 18 individuals including clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Enhance the capability of the team through providing coaching and mentoring and quality improvement advice to team members during their day-to-day work
  • Provision of strategic leadership, senior expertise, and advice to support the delivery of service initiatives and the TWMT mini business plan.
  • Working with senior leadership among others within TWMT to ensure all work is well planned, and methods include strategic and tactical approaches to achieve high quality results
  • Building collaborative and positive relationships across the region including Iwi/Māori Providers, IMPBs, Primary, Community health services and external stakeholders
  • Work alongside peers in Hauora Māori and Pacific Health Services to ensure the voice of and direct aspirations of Māori and Pacific People are reflected in planning and delivery of services.

Primary Mobile Nurse/Practice Nurse

  • Run mobile outreach clinics to those in the socially and economically disadvantaged areas.
  • Clinical lead in vaccination clinics in the region throughout the Covid 19 pandemic
  • Work in collaboration with GP practices, hospice, Mid Central services to provide support in the community with injections, phlebotomy, INRs
  • Work alongside MCH teams to ensure health services get to those areas in need ie: have organized for the mobile vaccination unit to work alongside me in Foxton each Wednesday, this has now carried on for almost a year with great uptake by the community.
  • Provide services and education regarding Diabetes, CVD prevention, Asthma & COPD management, post hospital follows up care
  • Work closely with those in the community with LTCs and work with LTC nurses and GPs around managing this at home
  • Immunization education and referrals, contraception, and sexual health services
  • Work in the GP practice 1-2 days per week as a practice nurse and provide cover on other days as needed
