I am Anna. I am 22 years old and have completed three years of study towards both an LLB and BA majoring in international relations and political science as of November 2023. I hope to carry on with my education in 2024 at Victoria University. In the meantime, I am looking for permanent work until mid February next year.
I have had experience in a variety of fields. I have worked as both a cricket and swim instructor for primary aged children. This environment helped me gain skills to work efficiently as part of a team, communicating with people of all ages. Most recently I worked as an assistant in vineyards helping to cultivate the fruit. Working in the vineyards required commitment as the work required early starts and long hours.
I am a fast learner and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. I am articulate and an excellent communicator, as demonstrated by my consistently high scores in my University assignments. I set myself high standards and strive to achieve excellence in whatever I do, which is reflected in my success in study. I am reliable, organized and mature for my age and seek to challenge myself by branching out to take new opportunities into more intellectually demanding field of work. I have coached and mentored young cricketer in the region since I was myself a teenager and have been part of the senior leadership group in the regional cricket team.
I am local, having grown up in Nelson since I was three, have attened both primary and secondary education in Nelson. I took a gap year to work so as to fund my accommodation costs for my first year of University in a Halls of residence.
I have successfully juggled both commitments in my demanding degree which requires me to get atleast B minus average to continue in my five and a half year conjoint degree programme , which I have achieved comfortably. upon finishing I will earn two degrees, as well as demanding training schedules that come with the high level of crivket I play. I have taken a particular interest to Public Law and sought to expand my knowledge in the area by honing my knowledge of Maori Politics and their intereaction and experience with government (particularl at the local level). For example, I took a summer course in Maori Politics in which I received high marks.
