As an experienced health professional, I am dedicated to the public sector and initiatives that protect the wellbeing of our community. My career is a tapestry of individual care, family therapy, health management, child protection, and quality/service-system improvements, all of which have led to successful preventative health outcomes. These achievements directly reflect my belief in delivering health care that is sensitive, empathic, effective, culturally safe, and, most importantly, represents a partnership approach. I firmly believe that this collaborative approach is critical to leading and delivering high-quality prevention strategies and encouraging the contributions of all stakeholders in the process.

Chair, National Influenza Strategy Group/IMAC Advi

  • Chair the National Influenza Strategy Group of intersectorial specialists and develop the seasonal flu campaign.
  • Provide specialist advice and formal feedback to the Ministry of Health and the National Immunisation Programme (NIP) on influenza issues and evidence based recommendations. To increase public awareness of influenza and it’s seriousness and progress influenza immunisation target of those who are known to be considered ‘at risk' through developing a National Campaign and Health Professional educational resource.
  • Manage 0800IMAC phoneline service and staff and ensure 0800 line meets all relevant contractual, professional, legal, operational and strategic goals specified by IMAC and MoH.
  • Received 'Gold Star' award by external MoH auditors for the high quality processes, communication and resources related to the operational functions of the 0800 IMAC Phoneline Team.
