Company Overview: Russell Gordon Contracting is a construction company based in Auckland, specialising in concrete construction.
I was responsible for processing all the AP invoices. In addition to this I was supervising and managing an accounts payable data entry administrator.
Responsibilities:
Matching, checking, coding and processing of invoices (the check includes the correctness of charge, proper authorisation has been obtained where applicable)
High volume accounts payable position, up to 1,000 invoices processed per week
Payments runs of $1,000,000 including overseas where applicable
ERP system used
Reconciling invoices to statements
Sales staff expense claims
BP fuel account – reconciliation, processing for payment, update of fleet report
Westpac Mastercard Credit Card reconciliations
Follow up of queries, assistance with changes of some creditor requirements, i.e. milk vendor/towel supply
Arrange and ensure timely payment of local creditors
Processing of overseas payments journal into MYOB GT
