Summary

I am a dedicated student teacher who has three years of LA experience working with high needs, ORS and IWS funded students. As an LA I mostly supported students with Autism, ADHD and behavioral needs. I am about to do my final placement in Pītau-Allenvale School, which will further increase my understanding of the needs of high needs students. Teaching diverse students is my passion, and my area of interest after graduation.

ReDefine Hui Coordinator

  • I co-created The ReDefine Hui, the first ever youth led two day workshop for youth with disabilities in Ōtautahi.
  • This included: Promoting the event, coordinating volunteer facilitators, setting up an advisory group, creating workshops and workshop material
  • Types of youth who went to the event and were in the advisory group: Youth with learning difficulties, youth with intellectual disabilities, youth with physical disabilities, youth who were profoundly deaf, youth with mental health concerns.
