Resident Relations and Care

  • Undertake ongoing assessment of all complex wounds and pressure injuries.
  • Provide supervision, assistance and direction to nurses to implement wound care as detailed in the resident's care plan, and to monitor and train staff to ensure they deliver safe, effective, high quality wound management. Development and review of the resident’s wound plan is undertaken in consultation with the resident and family/whanau.
  • Review complex wounds and pressure injuries at a minimum of once a week and document in myRyman Care.
  • Monitor all pressure injuries and ensure that all interventions are in place.
  • Create, evaluate and implement treatment plans in conjunction with the RNs.
