  • Identify, analyse, plan and implement process improvements where possible, within the scope of the ACC & Eligibility Team's wider workflow.
  • Manage business-as-usual billing activities including submission of ACC service schedules, reconciliation of ACC Payment Advices and financial analysis/reporting for internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for management of over $500,000 per month (on average) in billings and allocations for roughly 20 contracts held with ACC by Health New Zealand.
  • Provide in-house technical support for custom-built tools in MS Access and Excel, making modifications to existing tools or developing new ones as required.
  • Complete regular analysis on financial data to identify potential gaps in ACC revenue recovery, then work with the Team Leader to implement a process for claiming and collecting this.
  • Assist with contract management and variations where updates to service item codes and prices are required to ensure correct billing of services.
  • Work with internal service leaders to identify and attempt to recover billed services that have resulted in declined payments.
  • Capture and ensure billing of Accredited Employer claim services, providing required data to the Revenue Analyst for invoicing.
  • Acted as SME for a large-scale project to implement a new invoicing tool, assisting ICT and ACC to complete user acceptance testing, contributing in development workshops and liaising with ACC post-implementation regarding upgrades and patches.
  • Liaise directly with ACC and the rest of Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora in regards to future-state workflow changes and potential implementation of new tools for national-level consideration.
  • Delivered a business case to Health New Zealand for a national-level ACC & Eligibility team structure, demonstrating how I thought it would best be structured to efficiently perform the existing key deliverables while scaling up the current siloed approach at a district level.
  • Develop high-quality documentation to support training efforts, helping employees fully understand new systems and procedures whilst also minimising key dependencies within the team functions in case of sudden absence or personnel changes.
