ANVI GOYAL

As a dedicated 2nd-year Bachelor of Science student majoring in Biological Sciences and Biochemistry at the University of Canterbury, I have developed a strong foundation in biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. My role as a part-time residential advisor has honed my interpersonal skills and reinforced my passion for making a positive impact in people's lives.

• Member of UCBIOMED club's Heart Hackathon Team, University of Canterbury - Actively involved in developing an artificial heart for a heart hackathon competition held in the USA.
• Sports and Fitness - Going to the gym and playing badminton daily for general fitness.
• Passion for Science and Art - I love creating comics, posters, and sketches about science.
• Integral part of UC South-Asian Fusion Dance Club, University of Canterbury - Performing various ethnic Asian dance forms in several cultural and diverse events throughout the year in and outside the University.

• Student Volunteer Army, A charity that facilitates meaningful volunteering and responds to crises when Aotearoa needs help. - Active participant in communities like SVA (student volunteer army) and UC sustainability. I Take part in volunteering opportunities like planting trees, mulching weeds, etc., led by them.
• Class Representative, acting as a spokesperson for students and resolving their low-level issues.
