- This is my first full time job, Working40+ hours a week working as a general laborer has been no doubt the most intense, frustrating, and physically demanding job I have had
- As a laborer I am required to complete a range of daily tasks including, general clean, waste disposal, keeping everything looking and functioning as it should and much more
- However, I am also required to be on my own a lot, meaning I need to figure out what else needs to be done on site once I have completed those tasks
- For most of my time there I have been granted the role of helping the core drillers on site,3 of them
- This may seem like a small number however it is very management and creative thinking based, I must make sure all water and concrete remains within a contained area and prevent any leaks, as it is a12 story building, leaks can be very dangerous and cause further problems
- I must also keep on top of the drillers water disposal and keep everything topped up, this job I am doing whilst also doing whatever else may be asked to do
- Heavy lifting was a major factor in my first couple of weeks, as we only had1 other laborer on site we were the muscles of the team, whether that was bringing35,6ft steel poles and distributing them across all12 floors, (using the stairs)
- Bringing all kinds of wood across and around the site to where it needed to be delivered, that is just a small portion of what my day might involve
- I have also been in charge of large deliveries from placemakers
- This can range from a small batch of ply, to a couple tonnes worth of hoist components, I also had the role of stopping traffic to allow the large trucks to back into our small driveway off of a busy main street
- Making myself familiar with names across site was vital, so I could then have an easier time communicating with everyone seeing as they rely on me to do what they can't do at the time being
- I have made great friends and contacts already and feel right at home everyday on site

- Working at repco was my first big step into a proper industry, Following my passion for everything automotive
- It can be a very exhausting experience having to deal with plenty of grumpy customers
- However, in my time there I have learnt ways to deal with it in a friendly manner and most of the time bring the happy side out of them
- Continuing from experience from wildfinder my confidence with customers increased dramatically
- I taught myself how to interact with other branches by bringing stock in and sorting goods from around the country
- It has also helped me to know when people are unsure of what they are looking at and helping to the best of my ability to educate them and help them understand what they need to cater their needs

- Working as a delivery driver was very mind focused and time exact, my confident driving skills led me in this role to deliver pizza to customers ranging from Waterloo all the way to eastbourne
- Being on time was very important as you want the food to be as fresh and perfect as possible, but it would also mean i would get to my other deliveries on time which i would have on the same route, i would have to plan each route accordingly to where i had to go, this could be3 or even4 different locations in one trip
- When I arrive back at the restaurant it would either be serving customers or doing the dishes until I'm called for another delivery

- Working as a lower scale apprentice automotive technician Taught me the basics of all things auto and mechanical, Workshop ethics like keeping the shop clean and potential hazard elimination
- My role was more of the easier jobs like spark plug replacement, Cleaning out rocker covers, belt and globe replacement and handing back a clean tidy and most importantly a motor put back together to factory requirements
