- Customer Help: Answered and responded to customer enquiries and questions to ensure that they had the best possible experiences.
- Payments: Managed payments from all different departments. E.g. Swimming lessons, pool entries, gym entries, memberships (gym, pool and lessons), cafe. This all included using a point of sale (POS) system and cash in the till but also in-depth knowledge of the facilities different memberships and what would suit the customers the most.
- Retail: I consistently helped customers find items in the shop they wanted, helping them in depth understand the products and the benefits of each product. e.g. swimming togs, goggles and swim caps. This included quality, cost and worth of each of the products ensuring that the customers were happy with their purchases.
- Programs: During school holidays I would sometimes work in the holiday program, looking after kids ranging from 6-14. I also ran the facility 'Wave Rave' for a few months, which was an event on Friday nights where between 100-300 kids would gather in the pools for a 'pool party'.
- Cleaning: Before, during and after each shift I would carry out cleaning. This included; mopping, sweeping, wiping surfaces, bathrooms and glass cleaning.
Cleaning: Carried out cleaning around the pharmacy to help maintain a clean, safe environment for both staff and customers. This included; vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathroom and kitchen, taking out rubbish and recycling, wiping surfaces and restocking pill bottles.
This job was for 2 hours per week, helping to gain some experience in the working environment.
