Summary

I am 16 years old and studying Level One at Nelson Boys College.

I was voted a Year Representative at my school by my year group. They have put their trust in me to contribute in school meetings where we discuss what we can do to improve our school.

I have represented my school in both Junior and Senior Basketball, Volleyball and Athletics.

I have also represented the Nelson Tasman Region in Cross Country, Gymnastics, Volleyball U15's and U17's (where we placed 1st and 3rd respectively). Also, I was part of the U18's Basketball Rep team where we seeded top in the South Island, and ended up winning the Nationals in Wellington last month, which was an amazing experience.

Competing within a team or by myself requires self drive to train and practice alone, but also to work well with others such as my teammates, coaches and manager.

Whilst it has been a great experience working alongside my Dad and Mum in the family painting business, I think that now is the time to try a different line of work.

My favourite part of the job has been meeting the customers and making sure they are happy with the work being carried out. Each day I made sure that their house is clean and organised and as back to normal as it can be. Having your house painted can be a stressful time so we have to make it as calm and easy for them as possible.

These attributes would make me great for a cleaners role
