  • Attend to meetings with the new customer and Deane Apparel Sales Manager to understand their need, the reason they want to change uniform, what they want to achieve.
  • Team work with the sales person in charge of the project: cross-sharing our briefs and knowledge of the customer. Stay in constant liaison to make sure the design reflects our brief.
  • Internet research on the customer brand, industry, environment, type and number of employees, ethnicities concerns.
  • Internet research on similar industry companies to differentiate and create their very own and distinctive image.
  • Create storyboards with suggested fabric samples, trims, creation of logo pips, and personalized accessories. Eventually, Deane in-House product manager will source similar fabrics with price and quality focus
  • Offer new colour options using the customer brand bible (or from internet research)
  • Using Photoshop, create the customer new uniform range: present a mock up of the garments on models in their work environment.
  • Presentation meeting with the customer: power point, storyboards, samples. I will be assisted with the sales person or Deane CEO, depending on the importance of the project.
  • If the presentation occurs during a tender and my designs are successful, we will then reassess the presentation: new meeting with customer, de-brief, updates.
  • Updated presentations on storyboards with the customer for final uniform choice.
  • Work at Deane with their in-house pattern-making department on the style, proportions, details, final product.
  • work with tight deadlines, stick to budgets and "seduce" the customer with an exciting new uniform that will lift the spirit of their employees and show their professionalism.

A contract like Mc Donald has taken 3 years in the design, concepts, fabric choices process.

My designs have been chosen for Australasia Mc D restaurants and later on APMEA (Asia-Pacific, Middle East)
