I am currently working at Bunnings Cafe, independently, I open and close, I am part-time, working every Sunday. A few things this job has given me are: Barista skills, being able to make coffee efficiently and quickly, also good! I have gained great independent skills, learning how to work by myself in a fast-paced environment, serving and making coffees. I always make sure everything is set in place and always organized while working and closing for the person working the next day. I have learned how to be self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility. This job has enabled me to work effectively in fast-paced environments. I am able to demonstrate respect, friendliness, and willingness to help wherever needed. I always make sure I am flexible working across night, weekends, and holiday shifts. The last thing I have learned is how to be organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic!

• Since joining the Golden Hills Equestrian Centre in 2018, I have become a volunteer stable hand in 2023. My core duties include grooming the horses, washing and feeding, and maintaining paddocks. Making sure they are all in good health and condition. From gaining trust from the owner, I am now teaching young beginner riders who are still struggling with confidence. I find this really rewarding because it’s my knowledge helping them feel confident on a horse. My achievements in horse riding over the years have been going to competitions. The first show I attended was in 2023, the Emma Memorial Show, and I came in third place in one of the curriculums. I have also attended the Twilight jumping competitions throughout 2023-2024.

• I have worked efficiently in the cafe, front of house. I learned how to do food preparation, and learned new skills such as making a good coffee. I also work in the Art Gallery and Design side of the business in customer service, where I serve and help customers with any artwork inquiries they may have. I really enjoy this side of the business, as I love interacting with customers.
