  • Management of new client referrals from hospital, GP practices and self-referrals in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and book appointments, either as home visits, via telephone or virtually
  • Appointments booked using the 3+ Programme, with the aim of contacting the client at least 3 times
  • Aim is to reinforce learning outcomes, thereby improving asthma/COPD statistics, by reducing hospitalizations and symptom flare-ups (exacerbations)
  • Home visits done: to explain what asthma/COPD is, explain how asthma/COPD medication work, check inhaler technique, assessment of environmental triggers and initiate avoidance strategies
  • Check and promote asthma and COPD action plans
  • Spirometry test to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of asthma and COPD clients
  • Schools Programme: Asthma Clinic in South Auckland High Schools, supporting Year 9 to Year 13 students to manage their asthma
  • Working alongside School Nurses
  • Lead Nurse for COPD Support Groups in Central Auckland, West Auckland and North Shore

Completed a Diploma in Applied Mental Health in 2018. Leadership experience as Team Leader at Asthma New Zealand.
