Summary

I am punctual, motivated and quick learning. I have developed various skills during my 7 years within the hospitality industry. Due to my experience I am often tasked with the training of new staff and am responsible for ensuring they can perform their duties at the high standard that is required.

During my education for aircraft maintenance I learned to be precise, have a keen eye for detail and carefully follow various safety practices. The course gained me experience using a variety of tools and machinery improving my technical skills and understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Outside of work I have planned and executed a 3 month trip to Europe, which I left for in May 2023. This trip required comprehensive budget management to ensure sustainable finances throughout the 3 month period, as well as extensive planning for flights, accommodation and a trip itinerary.

Summary of skills

During my time in the hospitality industry I have operated as both a duty manager and a chef. These roles have required me to delegate tasks to staff to ensure smooth service, as well as manage stock levels and train new staff to a high standard. My experience in aircraft training gave me the opportunity to use my skills, maintaining the equipment of the restaurant and assisting with any repairs needed. The stressful environment of hospitality often requires quick thinking and on the spot problem solving, skills with which I have become quite elective. On a personal level I always seek to improve my performance, finding better and more efficient ways of completing jobs whilst maintaining a high standard.
