  • This position is essentially a Project Manager for PW/Air New Zealand Joint Venture for IAE V2500 Engine shop visits for various customers from around the world
  • I was a member of the Engine Centre Customer Focus Team for the V2500 Line
  • I was heavily involved in setting up robust procedures for the smooth operation of Engine Shop Visit reporting and customer liaison protocol
  • In line with the Pratt & Whitney Continuous Improvement program – ‘Achieving Competitive Excellence’ (ACE), these requirements were constantly being refined and modified to provide consistent reporting and Engine Shop visit flow for both the Customer & Shop
  • The Key Account Manager role required a well organised and disciplined approach to the work and working strictly within the confines of the negotiated contract, the requirements of Pratt & Whitney and also the specific customer requirements for their Engine Repair/Overhaul
  • As the Customers ‘Single Point of Contact’ all aspects of an Engine Shop visit went across the Key Account Manager desk
  • The role covers a range of disciplines including specific Engineering Knowledge of product, contractual and commercial acumen, good communication skills, planning and logistics
  • The ability to multi task across a range of customers requirements with the ability to have several alternative plans in place

  • Support and assistance to the Sales Department for ongoing campaigns for V2500 Engine Shop Visits
  • Single point of contact (SPC) for all V2500 Engine shop visits was shared with other Key Account Managers and covered the whole range of CHCEC customers and some specialised specific customers
  • Major offsite at USA location (Denver) project coordinating 23 Engines for Fan Case composite panel replacements saving customer approx 1 million $US in transportation cost and averting possible fleet groundings for United Airlines
  • Liaison with both PW FMP Program staff and UAL during the project
  • Liaison and oversight of ‘off base’ repairs to 3 engines from CHCEC using staff from CEC USA at Denver for United Airlines

Aircraft Maintenance Co-ordinator

  • This position effectively was an assistant to the Maintenance Manager
  • Main duties include oversight over of Airlines Service Level Agreement with contracted 145 Maintenance provider for Fleet of 11 ATR 72-212A aircraft (plus administration of 1 further short term lease ATR 72-212 a/c and subsequent end of lease return requirements)
  • On site representation for all Line Maintenance activities plus AOG and defects, MEL and long term deferral rates
  • Liaison with Mt Cook Ops
  • On site representation for all Heavy Maintenance visits and Mod activities
  • Liaison with ANZES Forward Planning/ATR Support Group
  • Investigative/Project management work as required by the Mt Cook Aircraft Maintenance Manager
  • Reconciliation of all ANZES Line/Heavy Maintenance Invoices prior payment
  • Permagard (paintwork restoration product) application to MT Cook ATR 72 fleet plus development of ongoing cleaning program
  • This has extended the life and enhanced the finish of existing paintwork of a fleet of 11 ATR aircraft with associated cost saving of cosmetic repaint requirements
