  • Primary role to work at development face, operate Ramcar and the Jug-A-O LHD’s
  • Operate the bolting rigs on ABM20
  • Install & maintain all outbye services associated with its advancement

Miner/Operator

Terrace Coal Mine
  • Operate face development machine (Modified 4T excavator with milling head)
  • Install all primary and secondary support manually with Gophers & windy borers
  • Install and maintain all outbye services including ventilation, pumping systems, coal flumes & transport
  • Basic mechanical & all welding maintenance and repairs on all site machines

Hands on Shift Supervisor

Snowy River Gold Mine
  • 24 months as hands on Shift Supervisor of a crew of up to 10 miners
  • Role of shot firer and development charge up
  • Perform all development tasks competently; bogging, shotcreting, secondary support, services & trucking
  • Conduct all statutory, ventilation, gas and working face inspections, control daily operations to meet production targets and weekly plans safely and efficiently
  • Competently operate all machines on site except development drills/Jumbo’s
  • Conduct and oversee the training of new starters to operate machines and perform operational tasks safely
  • Operate shotcrete spray rigs to apply shotcrete as part of development primary support & operate batching plant to batch shotcrete on site to meet specific quality standards

Hands on Crew Foreman

Bundi Road Logging
  • Started as manual breaker out, worked towards and gained HBO (head breaker out) qualification
  • 5 years as Crew Foreman; daily coordination of crew and laisse with Harvest Managers to achieve targets safely and efficiently
  • Operator of first steep slope Tethered Felling Machine on West Coast, proved that a machine of this type can work efficiently and safely in extremely difficult conditions
  • Carry out all maintenance, repairs and servicing of machines on site, and the coordination of any major repairs or maintenance beyond my ability involving off site contractors
  • Review existing, and create new site operating and emergency procedures
  • Build tracks and access ways to enable machine access into extremely difficult terrain – pretty much get machines into places they should not be and back out again safely

Shift Supervisor

  • Gained position as shift supervisor at alluvial sites
  • Operate excavators, loaders & dozers as part of the daily operation of alluvial screening operations
  • Conduct most site maintenance and welding at all sites
  • Several roles as Fitter/Welder, including a role in USA constructing rotary milking platforms
  • Always left employment on good terms and maintain excellent relationships with & respect of previous employers
