Work History

Check-in Agent

Disney Cruise Lines
11.2023 - Current
  • I currently work for Disney Cruise Lines in Auckland as a part-time Cast Member, and I actively contribute to the magical atmosphere of port days. Making sure travellers have a flawless experience from the moment they arrive at the terminal is the main focus of my duties. This entails offering welcoming direction, extending a warm welcome to visitors returning from travels, and smoothly running a check-in desk when boarding the ship Disney Wonder It's worth noting that as part of the boarding process, I actively contribute to the efficient embarkation of over 2500 guests and the re-boarding of more than 800 crew members. I take great satisfaction in continuously exceeding guest expectations and upholding Disney's dedication to providing outstanding customer service. As I've worked cooperatively with my team, I've improved my attention to detail and flourished in the vibrant, fast-paced atmosphere that is Disney Cruise Lines. In addition to ensuring efficient operations, I actively participate in creating magical moments for our guests, ensuring that their Disney cruise is truly unforgettable.

Check-in Agent

P&O Cruises
06.2023 - 11.2023
  • During my time with P&O Cruise Lines Australia's land team as a Check-In Agent, I played a vital role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for passengers. As the first point of contact, I verified essential documents such as passports, visas, and travel insurance, setting a positive tone for their cruise journey. At the check-in desk, I efficiently handled security measures by capturing passengers' photos, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for security personnel at the gangway. Additionally, I assisted passengers in loading their credit cards onto their accounts, simplifying financial transactions for a hassle-free cruise. Beyond the check-in desk, I extended support to the wheelchair team, aiding passengers with mobility challenges in navigating the embarkation process. I gained a thorough understanding of the complex workings of the cruise industry as a member of the P&O Cruise Lines Australia land team. Contributing to the smooth operation of passenger services and making sure that each and every guest set out on their cruise with assurance and comfort was an enjoyable task.

Hospitality Worker

Function Staff
06.2022 - Current
  • Working with Function Staff has helped me develop a variety of customer service and communication abilities. Plattered dinners and award ceremonies like the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise International Business Award, the Silver Scroll Awards are things I've worked. I have also worked at a number of events at Spark Arena, including the global tours of Billie Eilishe and Dua Lipa.

FIFA Womans World Cup Australia and New Zealand

FIFA Women's World Cup
07.2023 - 08.2023
  • As a member of the event team for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, I was integral in making sure everyone who attended from all over the world had a smooth and enjoyable experience. As a cashier, I skillfully managed sales of goods, food, and drinks while continuously offering friendly and approachable customer service. In addition to working at the cash register, I was also responsible for stock management duties like stock replenishment and merchandise organistion. I also became a seamless member of the kitchen crew, helping with every step of food preparation and serving. With this versatile position, I was able to demonstrate my adaptability in a fast-paced work environment and expand my skill set. Having the opportunity to communicate with people from other cultures was one of the most enjoyable parts of my employment. Interacting with this multicultural audience improved my cross-cultural communication skills in addition to refining my customer service techniques. The event's dynamic nature and the ongoing requirement to work with a multicultural team improved my interpersonal skills even more. Being employed at the FIFA Women's World Cup was more than simply a job; it was a chance to support an international event and create a welcoming environment for guests.

Posh Nosh
01.2021 - 04.2022
  • Posh Nosh is a catering company that caters for weddings and high-end events such as the ADNZ Awards in Mount Maunganui. My role was to assist with plating food as instructed by the manager/chef of Posh Nosh and then assist in garnishing dishes before serving food to tables. The work was constant and had to be done subtly. Plate clearing and dish washing, as well as packing at the end of the night, were also big parts of the role.
