A management role focusing on the health and wellbeing of all guests, training of staff to ensure daily tasks are completed to a high level and developing procedures to better the running of the daycare. The core of this role was to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all animal guests. Keeping up to date with guest vaccinations, contacting veterinary clinics for health records and liaising with dog owners on how to best care for their dogs individual needs. Responsible for replying to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional fashion as well as training staff to do the same. As manager I interviewed and recruited staff for both the handler and administrative team, ensuring they underwent extensive training on dog handling and care as they were onboarded. I also lead an initiative working with 'Groov', a workplace health and wellbeing platform providing staff with health and wellbeing activities both in and out of the workplace ensure those caring for our guests were also cared for. This role provided me with vast knowledge of dog care, administrative proficiency, procedure development and expanded my leadership skills as well as giving me a platform to share my passion for animal care.

A hands on dog care position with the added role of working alongside customers, providing advice on how to best care for their pets at home whether they be a cat, bird, fish or reptile. As a dog groomer I underwent training on dog handling, coat care and general health including body condition, and dental health. A rewarding role maintaining dogs coats, helping owners in need with advice and support for their animals complicated coat types, dematting dogs in need and providing advice to first time puppy parents on how to care for their animal going forward. As a retail assistant I was fortunate to learn about the care needs for various animal types. I provided advice on feeding plans, exercise needs, flea and worming plans and comfort options for all pets. Responsible for stocking shelves, ensuring products did not outlive their shelf life, caring for all fish in store, cleaning their tanks, feeding and medicating those that were unwell. This role qualified me to work as a dog groomer and the training program gave me the skills to care for various animal types.

In my own time I provide house sitting services to those going away on holiday requiring care for their animals. This is an ongoing role to expand my time caring for animals, working with people to ensure their pets are cared for when they are away.

Responsible for booking consultations with our carpet salespeople and floor sales. With a focus on customer relationships this role required relationship development, styling advice and administrative proficiency. As the first port of call on the sales floor, listening to customers needs and ideas was vital to ensure the best outcome on their project. Working with the team I managed all bookings and emails, ensuring the senior staffs diaries were up to date, scheduled efficiently with a consistent roll of jobs for them to see to.
