Initially growing up in Thornbury and attending Aparima college in Riverton before moving to Invercargill to attend Southland Girls’ High School. I studied at Southland Polytechnic as it was called then from 1992 and qualified in 1994. I am a registered nurse with 25 years’ experience in different areas of nursing such as elderly care, district community nursing, mental health and practice nursing. Most recently I have been working as a practice nurse at the Invercargill Medical Centre since 2014.

I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with progressive career history in direct patient care, triage and care coordination in fast-paced environment. Proven to remain calm under pressure, and I feel I develop strong relationships with patients and families through empathetic communication, respectful attitude and excellent customer service.

Regular exercise, reading, camping, walking the dog, playing Frisbee golf, quality time with friends

I enjoy spending time outside when able, camping with my husband Kerry in our caravan, enjoying down time, and relaxing with our dog.

I have started attending a gym, which I enjoy, I didn't think I would ever do this, but find it rewarding, and a good stress relief.

Recently started spending more time on my bike, after we bought ourselves E bikes, which are awesome. I also enjoy playing a bit of frisbee golf with friends.
