I am a married mum of two grown kids and have lived in Invercargill majority of my life. Initially growing up in Thornbury and attending Aparima college in Riverton before moving to Invercargill to attend Southland Girls’ High School. I studied at Southland Polytechnic as it was called then from 1992 and qualified in 1994. I am a registered nurse with 25 years’ experience in different areas of nursing such as elderly care, district community nursing, mental health and practice nursing. Most recently I have been working as a practice nurse at the Invercargill Medical Centre since 2014.
I am a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with progressive career history in direct patient care, triage and care coordination in fast-paced environment. Proven to remain calm under pressure, and I feel I develop strong relationships with patients and families through empathetic communication, respectful attitude and excellent customer service.
I enjoy spending time outside when able, camping with my husband Kerry in our caravan, enjoying down time, and relaxing with our dog.
I have started attending a gym, which I enjoy, I didn't think I would ever do this, but find it rewarding, and a good stress relief.
Recently started spending more time on my bike, after we bought ourselves E bikes, which are awesome. I also enjoy playing a bit of frisbee golf with friends.
