My Name is Brooke Harford, a 25-year-old career-driven Registered Nurse from Auckland, New Zealand.
I am a Registered Nurse (RN) with a progressive career history in direct patient care, triage and care coordination in a fast-paced, acute environment. After starting a career amid the covid19 pandemic I have proven to remain calm under pressure and skillfully handle difficult presentations and high-stress situations. I am a determined medical professional who consistently develops strong relationships with patients and families through empathetic communication, respectful attitude and compassionate care.
To be a good nurse is to be a nurse surrounded by a strong team and I believe my ability to be a team player represents me perfectly and thus excels me far beyond other applicants. I aspire to be amongst a supportive and inspiring team and believe it is a crucial component when the collective goal is to achieve great patient outcomes.
I offer unique expertise with a skillset focused on advocating passionately for my patients and adapting my practice however necessary to fit the patient presentations and/or challenges I may encounter. I am a motivated, hard worker whose discipline and love for my career shine brightly through my work ethic and personality. The passion I bring into my career is undeniable and is something that once meeting me you will find hard to contest.
I assisted recently at a dental surgery as a temp Registered Nurse.
I assisted an Anaesthetic technician in sedation and monitoring during wisdom teeth removal and teeth implantation.
I worked efficiently to manage multiple surgeries across a few days, ensuring surgeries were done in a timely fashion and patients were cared for safely from the beginning of light sedation and post-operatively.
I collectively worked with another RN to manage intravenous cannulation and preparation of medications prior to, during and post procedure.
