Work History

Site Supervisor

Neighbourhood Construction
01.2022 - Current
  • Residential multiunit construction
  • Monitoring the scheduled progress of up to 40 new builds through the framing and cladding teams to program the workflow of my three interior fitout teams.
  • Analysis of plans and project documents to create a materials list and check for potential issues.
  • Raise RFIs with any discrepancies, and alert senior management if there are cost or schedule implications.
  • Follow up with the engineers or designers for timely RFI resolution.
  • Create a Construction program to schedule multiple contractors with clear expectations of their timeslot and deadline.
  • Regular site checks for quality assurance and program compliance. Update the main program with any changes after stakeholder consultation.
  • Coordinate meetings between contractor teams to ensure smooth workflow when more than one team is in the same space.
  • Report weekly to the directors meeting, with photo reports available to allow remote members to understand the issues.
  • Snag lists with photos made available to relevant parties for rectification. Filed for later contractor evaluation.
  • Maintain site documentation and ROWs for compliance.
  • Input into contract specification to ensure the standards and outcomes needed.
  • Milestone and compliance to plan feedback on contractors.
  • Final quality handover inspection for customer quality is based on the defects policy I developed to MBIE guidelines
  • Daily toolbox talks for HSE, regular site walks to ensure best practice safety and compliant environmental behaviour.
  • We have invested in Autodesk software where I have set up QA forms to pre inspect and record key areas before council and consultant engineer inspections
  • Train and mentor team members who may be skilled but not familiar with NZ practices and communication.
  • This has led to reviewing key areas of non-compliance and simplifying the requirements to allow multiple building teams to be more consistent and council using this system as evidence to waive physical inspection
  • I was then asked to take the role of Interiors supervisor as I had deep knowledge of our requirements.

Territory Manager

Ecolab
01.2018 - 01.2022
  • Cleaning and sanitation systems sold and installed to hospitality, healthcare, and industrial clients.
  • Established successful account relationships by building rapport and maintaining consistent communication.
  • Highest sales over budget in NZ territory.
  • Planning equipment installation, Programming computer-based dispensing equipment, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment
  • Staff Training and compliance monitoring.

Restorations Contracts Supervisor

Buildtech
01.2015 - 01.2016
  • Managing a diverse range of projects involving multiple contractors in tight timeframes
  • I managed a dedicated core team of carpenters, scoped the jobs, planned the work schedule, liaised with the clients for a suitable start date and booked the subcontractors as required
  • I managed Compliance and Quality assurance prior to client sign off
  • EQC remedial programme: Many contractors had carried out poor repairs, and many damage assessments were incomplete
  • The Homeowners needed careful management as their confidence in the system was low
  • Many jobs had complex variations as the real damage often only became evident during the repair process
  • Compliance rules for foundations and cladding needed careful attention as the rules varied from job to job
  • Housing NZ programme: Assessing and scoping damage and required upgrades in accordance with the HNZ criteria
  • Earthquake repairs and upgrades to ventilation, electrical, insulation and amenities to the rental housing stock
  • Many jobs manged with large families living in the house during the job
  • IAG overcap repairs: Some quality of finish issues, many with improper foundation and floor slab strategies
  • Much larger repairs with many specialist trades signing for their releveant LBP producer statements such as cladding, roofing and waterproofing
  • CCC programmes: Rental housing repairs and upgrades, similar to the HNZ programme multi block units
  • Many design upgrades added complications to these jobs.
  • Managed time efficiently in order to complete all tasks within deadlines.

  • Ensuring Health & Safety, Quality Assurance & Project Documentation is up to standard

  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.

  • Check the final technical details and drawings to ensure the design is as discussed and buildable.
  • Help the QS team to specify the job before it goes out for tender.
  • Evaluate the responses to quotes and tenders with the QS team before accepting the quote.
