I was lucky enough to do my apprenticeship with Page and Macrae Engineering and left with a good basic understanding over a large variety of engineering applications. I could confidently work off fabrication drawings and pipe schematics. I was able to use gridline's and dumpy levels competently for the installation of plant and equipment and came away with a good basic mechanical knowledge for fitting applications.

  • Im able to communicate with employees on a personal level and professional level which is essential to be able to work with their strengths and show guidance were it may be necessary I think this enables them to feel comfortable being able to voice there concerns with me if something isn't right
  • Im able to communicate with clients very well, having spent a lot of time working with some of the larger corporate companies solely and in joint ventures
  • I expect safety to be one of the prime objectives of each individual whilst doing their task My role in that is making sure SOP's are in place and are satisfactory, and also training of employees is up to standard
  • I believe another prime objective should be quality My role here is making sure employee's understand the specification and the quality expected on the project I also need to make sure they have had enough training so he or she is able to meet the level of quality necessary
  • Being aware of deadlines is critical and having a achievable timeline to produce the product within these parameters, or install in the allocated time I believe this comes down to communication and planning
  • Housekeeping is important if you want to deliver a project on time, and quality to be of a high standard The work environment needs to be clean and organised, which intern makes the job easier, and keeps moral higher

I enjoy riding in my spare time, Racing if my schedule allows.

mountain biking

I do this mainly just for fun as I live close to 440 mountain bike park.

Off road running

I run purely for exercise and I find it relaxing, either early in the morning or late in the afternoon and the views are amazing.
