Summary

I see myself as a passionate, bubbly, kind teacher who believes in strong, reciprocal relationships with tamariki, whaanau and kaiako, displaying a high sense of whanaungatanga. I constantly reflect on my practice to ensure I am providing effective teaching and learning for tamariki to grow and develop. I strongly believe in the environment as a third teacher with setting up experiences tamariki can engage in alongside of my use of intentional teaching strategies. I have a passion for inclusion of all diversity; culture, abilities, age, ethnicity, religion or gender. In terms of my most recent position as a head teacher, I really value shared leadership amongst the team and using a coaching culture to strengthen my mentoring abilities. I am looking forward to being in a relief teaching position to immerse myself back into teaching with tamariki and really engage with their needs and play. Although I have been in a place of leadership before, I am very capable in following instructions, each places own unique way of doing things and working alongside of all kaiako.
