Put simply, I am energetic, agile and have a real hunger for learning. I enjoy making meaningful contributions to a business, with a real focus on providing fantastic customer service. Once I become acquainted with an organization and its current processes, I am able to quickly adapt and use initiative to help the company achieve its goals. During my time at Active Oxy as Operations Manager, I implemented many procedures and systems that quadrupled efficiency of the business. Examples of this, are detailed below:
- Developed and implemented operational procedures which quadrupled efficiency of the business.
- Monitored and managed a team of 6 to optimize processes, team performance, and customer service.
- Ordered up to 28 components required for manufacture of the system which spanned across countries. worldwide.
- Independently developed all internal and external purchase orders, quotes, invoices, remittance notices, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Communicated and negotiated with 15 suppliers to arrange optimal supply agreements for the business.
In this role, the utmost importance was focused on completing tasks efficiently, while providing fantastic customer service to hundreds of customers each day. Examples of the responsibilities I carried out are as follows:
- Dealing with a variety of customers each day from all backgrounds in life, and providing them with a product and service valuable to them.
- Ensuring that sufficient product is on the shelf, and readily available to customers at a moments notice.
- Generally assisting with all aspects of the business and not being afraid to get my hands dirty. One minute, I would be cleaning dishes, and the next I would be handling inventory. I am not shy of assisting with any facet that may need my help.
- Answered customer inquiries and provided accurate information regarding products and services.
- Dealt with financial transactions, and interacted with customers at the end of a sales experience.
I was responsible for managing all 19 client accounts across New Zealand. This involved me forming excellent relationships with clients and navigating complex sales, and supply agreements with them. The specific responsibilities I would carry out included:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Created comprehensive reports on account performance and presented them to senior management.
- Providing training and guidance to new staff members, and creating systems are processes which would increase autonomy of employees.
In my weekends, I thoroughly enjoy a range of activities. For example:
- I am keen adventure rider, and travel down roads not often explored.
- I thoroughly enjoy tramping, and am quite frequently in the Kalmais!
- I love trying new beers, and am an avid craft beer enthusiast.
