• Led a diverse team of technicians to meet production deadlines and Army vehicle requirements, often at short notice, in both camp and field environments.
• Co-ordinated with external organisations to facilitate vehicle repair/ certification etc.
• Carried out maintenance and repair tasks for the majority of vehicles used in the Army.
• Supervised apprentices ensuring technical and safety standards were always adhered to.
• Organized and conducted thorough inspections of vehicles post-operation to guarantee road safety standards.
• Inspected and tested electronic systems to diagnose faults using scan tools, oscilloscopes and voltmeters etc.
• Collaborated with different departments within NZDF to modify/ increase the capabilities of MAN trucks for natural disaster response.

My trade experience has not all been gained in the Army. During my apprenticeship I completed work experience placements for six weeks at four different civilian workshops in and around the Christchurch area including Penske, Truck Alignment & Repair (TAR), Transport Repairs Ltd and Lockheed Martin. I have also recently spent four weeks during September 2024 at HM Auto Electrical where I was integrated into their workshop to help keep my technical skills up during a brief low activity period in Burnham.
