On Call Relief Driver

  • Demonstrated adaptability when covering various routes in short notice situations, maintaining efficiency under time constraints.
  • this is an oncall short notice relief driving type role in which i am happy to cover class 5 work, class 4 work or forklift driving work, I am registered with 2 different driving agencies trying to gain at least 3 days per week, but its just not secure enough for me at the moment
  • I am trying to turn 34 years driving & millions of kms class 5 work & tens of thousands of pallet jack type work to work in my favour

  • Reason for leaving: Really enjoy the job at JD's & working at foodstuffs but are considering going back driving if the correct position becomes available
  • 2 weeks’ notice is required, Hickman’s do not have any swaps or overnight set runs where you come home

  • Reason for leaving: the business became freehold & I chose to go back on wages because this was a labor-intensive job

  • Physical work & working outdoors in all weather conditions from time to time have always been part of my working life & is part of work I enjoy
  • I am a very well-educated driver & freight handler; I grew up with owner driver parents & have been travelling in or around trucks my whole life
  • I have a mechanical aptitude & can usually self-diagnose most issues with trucks prior to calling or talking to mechanics if needed when something goes wrong, this usually speeds the process up a little
  • Very competent on forklifts I have always loaded my own units throughout my career
  • Have spent a lot of time doing pallet jack type work over the last 10 to 15 years & have handled thousands of pallets with a pallet jack & or tail lift
  • Have driven multiple types of trucks & combinations over the years, most experience has been with b-trains & Macks as my father was a Mack fan but have driven numerous different types of trucks over the years
  • Have spent a huge amount of time travelling over Napier Taupo Napier Wairoa Gisborne & between Hastings & Auckland basically most of my driving history involves travelling over one of these roads with my earlier history travelling Hastings to Wellington
  • Have had my own employees we had a great working relationship, but due to the loss of a major Customer within the TIL group, after my 3 trucks became freehold, I decided to go back to wages
