• This is an extremely critical task and involves electrical stress testing, examination under differing light and weather conditions, and pixel image playback for clarity and brightness
• Development of company-owned light and temperature sensors to enable the difference between measuring light on a sunny day, and a screen is in direct sunlight, and to adjust the playback brightness of the screen accordingly
• To test and evaluate AC to DC PSU (power supply units) and DC to DC PSU and run tests on the optimal configuration for the range of company fixed, small and large scale, and portable products
• Programming in the Linux code for company Media Players and full PCs running Broad Sign commercial billboard software
• Ensure configuration supports the loss of power, no auto-updates, or anything else that could prevent the hardware from playing back properly
• Configuration of proprietary Nova-star playback video cards to program multiple receiving cards to the appropriate part of each image is sent to the correct part of each LED display, and debug failures in the hardware to play back properly, including screen flickering
• Oversee, hold responsibility for, and as required to the electronic assembly of company manufactured LED displays and test
• Liaise with the cabinet maker to ensure proper cabinets are made to specification and adjust designs for future production to minimize wastage
