Chantal Williams

Here I am kaiako in the preschool rūma working with tamariki aged 3-5. Skills I have developed in this role include:

• Maintaining and fostering positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and kaiako.
• Creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, empathy, and cultural awareness.
• Contributing to staff meetings and professional learning communities, sharing insights and strategies for continuous improvement of teaching practices.
• Assessing children's learning and development through observation, planning and documentation.
• Communication and Interpersonal skills

After completing my studies, I took on this position, working with tamariki aged 2-5.

During my studies I had a placement at Curious Cubs Hilcrest. Soon I was offered a position as a part time relief teacher. Over this time, I worked approximately 2-3 days per week, gaining experience with tamariki aged 0-5.

During my school Holidays, I worked at Clelands Timber, packaging and exporting timber to different buyers.
